The Clio has proven to be an extraordinary continent-crossing tourer, amassing a vast travel log across nine European nations. Within the UK, it has driven from Land’s End to John O’Groats, tackling the NC500, Glencoe, the Isle of Skye, and the Lake District with its amazing mountain passes like Kirkstone, Hardknott, and The Struggle. Its British journeys also include Welsh highlights like Pembrokeshire, Snowdonia, and the Great Orme, alongside eastern routes through Hull, York, Darlington, Newcastle, Holy Island, Stirling, Dundee, and Inverness. On the continent, the hot hatch completed a pilgrimage to its birthplace in Dieppe, alongside French journeys through Calais, Dunkirk, Rouen, Paris, Rennes, Caen, Tours, Poitiers, La Rochelle, Limoges, Bordeaux, Agen, and Reims. It conquered Belgium from Bruges and Antwerp to Doel and Verviers; explored the Netherlands via Holland, Hellevoetsluis, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam; and toured Germany around Cologne, Wiesemscheid, and the Nürburgring, before venturing onward into Spain and Italy.
